To a mind that is still
the whole universe surrenders.

– Lao Tse

Hello,

my name is Christine Urban and I am the creative mind behind Atelier Lotti (which I named after my wonderful, late grandmother). From my studio near Vienna, Austria, I create fine art stationery, calligraphy, illustrations and brand design for customers worldwide. Keep scrolling to learn a bit more about me.
Love,

About me

& my Story

While I started my education in computer science and business (which is an experience I am forever grateful for), I have always been drawn to create aesthetic things. Not knowing exactly what I wanted to do, I first dabbled in Art History, but in the end my path led me to get a degree in graphic design.

While the corporate world of agencies is not a place where I want to thrive,  I’ve now been working as an artist, calligrapher and graphic designer on my own since 2015 and I can say that I absolutely love what I do.

Atelier Lotti

is all about creating with thought and intention,
working with creativity and joy & being soulful and inspiring.

I believe in slowing down. I believe in getting to know the people I work with. I believe in taking my time to think about the intention, the heart, the essence. I believe in working with my hands. I believe in uncompromising attention to detail. And I believe that your story, no matter if it’s big or small, deserves to be told in a meaningful way.

 Let’s create something wonderful together.

Sustainability

I believe that sustainability should be a given and not something that has to even be talked about – unfortunately we are not at that point yet. Since my choices in this regard also have an impact on my pricing and you as my customer, I felt like I had to address my stance here.

In my opinion, we have reached a point where no one, with good conscience, can ignore the situation of our precious planet. I also think that it is up to every single one of us to be the change that we want to see in the world.

I try to live by that as much as I can in my personal life and I knew from the beginning that I wanted to incorporate this philosophy into Atelier Lotti as well. While I know that there is still a lot of room for improvement, I try to do as much as I can within my own little sphere of influence. Here are a few things that I do to reduce the footprint of art and my products:
